Let Love Grow at BARCS!
As the warmer weather arrives, more kittens are
being born and the number of dogs running
at-large increases. BARCS and other animal
shelters become inundated with animals. As we
anticipate these increases in the number of
animals arriving at our shelter, we are hoping
to make room in our shelter by placing more of
the animals currently awaiting adoption.
Throughout the month of April, BARCS is
celebrating Spring with adoption specials.
We
are WAIVING the $65 adoption fee for selected
shelter animals who will be identified in the
shelter with paper flowers. People adopting
these animals will receive a beautiful potted
plant (while supplies last). All other adopters
will get to play a game-of-chance, picking eggs
with either a free microchip coupon, or a $5,
$10, or $15 discount on the adoption fees. The
normal adoption fee is $65. Five of the eggs
are for a non-fee adoption.
So
stop by BARCS to adopt that special new family
member you've been thinking about. The special
runs through April 30, 2010.
Baltimore City
residents will need to purchase a $10 pet
license. Puppies and kittens, six
months and younger, are available for adoption
at just $65. Normal
adoption procedures
apply.
BARCS Gift Certificates
are available for people who would like to give
the gift of an animal to some one else. The
gift certificate will enable the recipient to
pick a shelter animal that is suited to their
household and lifestyle. Normal
adoption
procedures apply.
Included with adoptions are spaying and
neutering, rabies vaccination, DHLPP
vaccination, bordatella, de-wormer, flea
preventative, a general examination, a food
sample, a month of free veterinary care
insurance, and Felv testing for cats and
kittens.
BARCS is the largest animal shelter in the
Baltimore area and the second largest in the
State of Maryland. More than 11,000
animals come through our doors each year.

Monday through Friday: 2pm - 6pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 11am - 4pm
